Society Robots

The robots that society and power need to fight its own frustrations, and also to destroy those who motivate anything except the things created by the "law" of the majority.



I shot this photograph in Barcelona, less than 1 week ago, when more than 15 000 students were in the street walking for hours, demonstrating against the armed reaction provoked against themselves one week before, when other thousands were revoking theirs rights to protest against the Bolonia System in universities; and its consequent privatization. More than 50 people, including 8 journalists, got injured by the same police force that appear in this photograph - Mossos d'Esquadra.

The protests have been happening for months and months in Barcelona, and beginning to spread in other regions all over Spain. Now the political reaction was to put its robots - policemen - in action, moving them on throughout universities.
And there is also a media reaction - the censorship (and the same thing happened in countries like Greece, Italy, and so on). And censorship is the last thing we want to happen in our "democratic" societies - so please: use your freedom of speech and spread the message while you can use it.
